Lost in Translation. Innovation vocabulary explained.

The world of innovation is filled with buzzwords, but how often do we stop to ask ourselves if we’re truly using them correctly? Words like customer-centricity and disruption are thrown around so frequently that their meanings become diluted, misused, or misunderstood. In the fast-paced world of business, this lack of clarity can hinder progress.

That’s why I felt compelled to write this post — to demystify some of the key terms in the innovation lexicon and ensure we’re all speaking the same language. After doing some research, I found two excellent resources that perfectly capture what I wanted to convey. These sources provide a clear breakdown of innovation terminology, helping innovators and anyone working with innovation teams get back on the same page.

Special thanks to Board of Innovation and Hives for providing such insightful explanations and saving me some time. I encourage you to check out their work below to ensure that you’re not getting lost in translation when it comes to innovation!👇🏼
